Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed a well-deserved long weekend, filled with relaxation and perhaps a good book or two.

I’m excited to share this week’s fantastic new fiction titles, many of which have been highly anticipated. Most anticipated is the Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry, a story that follows Alice and Hayden as they embark on a competition to write the biography of a mysterious woman. It promises to be a great addition to the lineup of witty stories from Emily Henry.

Additionally, this week stands out in the realm of historical fiction. I'm particularly excited about The Pretender by Jo Harkin, which draws inspiration from true events, chronicling the life of a young boy raised in obscurity as a peasant in the 1480s to protect his safety but who, unbeknownst even to himself, is the true heir to the throne occupied by Richard III. It is inspired by the life of little-known Simnel who was a figurehead of the 1487 Yorkist rebellion and ended up working as a spy in the court of King Henry VII.

This title is joined by several other notable historical works such as The Bright Years by Sarah Damoff, which is also generating some buzz.

If you're looking for something more fantastical, The Premonitions Club piques my curiosity; it delves into the intrigue of a series of letters from ancient psychics that are discovered and spark intense interest from different people.

And for thriller aficionados, Every Sweet Thing is Bitter by Samantha Crewson tells the gripping story of a woman with a violent past seeking redemption.

These are only a few of this week’s options. There is a wide selection so take a look and see which one you will dive into this week.  Happy reading!
