I was excited to dive into I Died on a Tuesday by Jane Corry and quite enjoyed the narrative approach that Corry took to tell this story. We see the story evolve from three points of view. First, we follow the story from Janie’s perspective. Janie is a young woman who, a few days before leaving for college, is the victim of a hit and run. She is left severely crippled and fights to piece together her memories of the day.

The second perspective comes from Robbie, a rock start who, twenty years later, is accused of the crime and goes on trial.

The third comes from Vanessa, a court victim support worker with personal ties to both the victim and the judge overseeing the case.

This book is original in that we know, from the start of the book, that Robbie was indeed behind the wheel… but the mystery lies in uncovering what truly happened that day and how the various elements and characters come together.

I found all three main characters very compelling and relatable. However, as we get to the last quarter of the book, the cast of characters expands and all the interconnections become a bit harder to believe. But by then, I was invested in learning the truth and was willing to accept these few far-fetched elements.

I think this is a great book for lovers of cozy mysteries who are looking for something a bit more intense.
